Riverside Expands Services with First-Ever Summer Programs
This summer marked a first for Riverside: free summer programming for our immigrant community.
Our summer programs included Workforce Development Training, continuing the career support we provide throughout the year; our first standalone Digital Literacy Training, giving participants dedicated time to build computer and technology skills; and a six-week Nutrition and Healthy Living Program in partnership with Cornell University Cooperative Extension. Participants who completed the nutrition program also earned a certificate they can add to their resumes.
Our first summer programs gave Riverside an opportunity to continue services participants rely on while also testing new ways to support them beyond our regular program cycles. What we learned will help shape how we provide more opportunities for participants to learn, build skills, and stay connected to Riverside throughout the year.
