The New York for All Act (A3506/S2235) is proposed legislation that would prohibit state and local agencies from using their resources to assist federal immigration enforcement, including efforts tied to detention and deportation. The bill is intended to ensure that all New Yorkers, regardless of immigration status, can access essential services and participate in their communities without fear of enforcement actions or family separation.

Restore Bond Hearings: The Trump administration has implemented a nationwide “no bond” policy that eliminates bond hearings for undocumented immigrants in ICE detention, potentially subjecting thousands to indefinite jail time without due process. This campaign urges Acting ICE Director Todd M. Lyons to reverse the blanket policy and restore bond hearings to ensure detainees receive the legal protections and fairness guaranteed by the Constitution.

Time Sensitive: ICE and Border Patrol Funding
This campaign urges the U.S. Senate to reconsider a recently passed Department of Homeland Security appropriations bill that would increase funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Border Patrol, following the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, without adding any significant new restrictions. Advocates are urging the Senate to reconsider the bill and include stronger limits on enforcement practices, deployment, and the use of detention funds. For more information:

“Public charge” is a test the government uses to decide if someone applying for a green card might rely on government benefits in the future. A few weeks ago, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) proposed changing this test so that almost any past or future use of public benefits could count against an applicant, and signaled it might make more changes without public input—creating even more uncertainty. For immigrants and their families, this could create fear about whether using basic services might affect their green card applications and discourage people from getting needed support. DHS is asking the public for feedback before making a final decision.
You can share your thoughts on the public charge at Regulations.gov and learn more here.
